Siraj Saxena

Biography

Siraj saxena is a painter, ceramic artist, graphic artist who did his bachelor of fine art (painting) from govt. institute of fine arts Indore in 1996.
He is currently based in Delhi working as a freelance artist. He made sculptures in wood and metal.
He has participated in many national and international group art exhibitions and ceramic art symposiums in number of countries like Poland, London, Serbia, Lithuania, Nepal, Spain and India. He was also invited as an artist in residence by yingge ceramic museum Taiwan.
He was also involved in commissioning art projects in Kuwait, South Africa and traveled 20+ countries through his art.
He is author of three books in Hindi which are “simit jal”,”akaasha ek taal hai” and “kala ki jagahen”. His articles are being published in Hindi magazines and daily newspapers like Janasatta, Dainik Bhaskar, and Amar Ujala etc.
He has conducted a few art workshops for kids and adults organized by NGOs such as aarohi (Kumayun), Spicmacay, SASTRA, MA (My anchor foundation).
He is a member of the executive board of My Anchor foundation and adviser for Meraranng foundation New Delhi.
He is an active cyclist and has great concern for the environment, art education and the importance of aesthetics in daily life. He believes that art enhances the wellness of life. Art for him a way to live with non-violence, peace, love and compassion.
