India has a literacy rate of around 70%, which is less than some of the least developed countries like Afghanistan and Cambodia. If the required skills are developed from the right age, the nation would soon see a development in its literacy rate as well.
Given paucity of job opportunities in the government sector, acquiring necessary skills as required by industries, increases chance of getting employment opportunities. So Skill development is a peak term these days as every organization is focused to hire skilled employees or train them to get good skills prior to hands-on jobs. Skill and specialization are what a market is demanding these days.
SrijanEkSoch, a social and non-governmental organization, realizing the immense importance of skill development, has been organizing skill development workshops in various parts of the country, primarily to equip the #youths of #rural #India with #industry ready skills and help them gain employment. The skills we are imparting include #digitalliteracy, #softwareskills, #microsoft certification, basic #computer course, #hardware, #carpentry, #Englishspeaking, and repairing of electrical accessories among others. We have already opened a #skilldevelopment centre at Amund village in Hamirpur dist of #Uttarpradesh and organized skill development workshops in #Jalgaon, #Ranchi and #Dehradun.
