Cheers to all the strong women on #Women’sEqualityday.

Even as the principle of #genderequality enshrined in the Indian #Constitution grants equality to women and empowers the State to adopt measures of positive discrimination in favor of women, the women equality in India is still a far cry.

Even after 72 years of Independence, women are still not equal partners in all decision-making processes, though they can be anything they want.

Women of our country have repeatedly proved that they are second to none as they have conquered all bastions hitherto dominated by men.

The latest example is our current badminton queen P V Sindhu who has created a history by becoming the first Indian women in the past 24 years to have won the World Women Badminton Championship.

On #WomensEqualityday, we all need to take a collective pledge to share all responsibilities of women equality and must treat and help them grow equally at par with the men.
